Categories and Distances:
Sprint (Nome Style):
- Unlimited classes (US); 23,8 km,
- 8-dog class (8S); 16 km
- 6-dog Class (6S); 12 km
- 4-dog Class (4S) modified for Olympic model, see below
Modification as per Olympic model
Day 1: “Classic” 1st heat with interval start the first day on standard trail distances 7,5 km. Day 2: Modified 2nd heat with pursuit start day two, start intervals in function of the day 1 result times. Trail distance7,5 km. The first to cross the finish line will be awarded the title of European Champion in the class. Day 3: Arena race with mass start on a short track with lap distance 2,5 km (3 laps). The first to cross the finish line will be awarded the title of European Champion in the class. Day three is a separate event.
- 4-dog Junior class (4J)
This class, reserved for juniors drivers between the age of 14 and 16 years - shall be run as a separate class according to the ESDRA Race Regulations Part II, § 1.2.1.6.2 and suite, and Regulations Part IV, § 2.10.1

Sprint Race Nordic Style Day 1: Skijoring one-dog classes Seniors divided into men and women (MS1/WS1), distance 16 km (MS1) 16 km (WS1). Juniors divided into men and women (MSJ/WSJ), distance 12 km, as per ESDRA Regulations Part IV, § 2.11.2.2 and § 2.11.3.2 Day 2: Combine competition in one-dog class modified for Olympic model. Arena race with mass start on a short track with multiple laps. The first to cross the finish line will be awarded the title of European Champion in the class. Seniors divided into men and women (MC1/WC1); lap distance 2,5 km (2+2 laps) Juniors divided into men and women (MCJ/WCJ); lap distance 2,5 km (2+1 laps), as per ESDRA Regulations Part IV, § 2.11.2.2 and § 2.11.3.1 Day 3: Relay; 3 x 5 km as per ESDRA Regulation Part VI.
All classes are open for a limited number of teams from countries not represented in ESDRA. Those teams will not be granted EC titles. Special awarding for registered nordic breed teams is foreseen.

Mandatory equipment in sprint classes:
- a second snow hook for the unlimited class and the 8 dog class in sprint and MD unlimited
- an adequate braking pad (drag) as per race rule Part II. § 1.2.2.6 for all Nome style classes
The 150% time disqualification rule shall apply. Doping tests for drivers and dogs may be performed. The following list of forbidden substances will apply: WADA list for humans and IFSS doping list for dogs All dogs participating shall be identifited by micro chip before their arrival at the race site and shall be listed on the chipping form. It is strictly forbidden to let dogs run loose at the stake out- & parking area during the event. All participating nations shall appoint one team leader for the sprint championships. The team leaders shall be noted on the entry forms. Team leaders shall be present at the team leader meetings, in view of their liaison task between the race organizer and their team members.
Animal Welfare:
Participants shall meet the applicable requirements as per the ESDRA Sled Dog Care Guidelines (Regulations Part V) and the recommendations issued by the Animal Welfare Committee.
